In QuickBooks, printing paycheck allowances are currently unavailable. These are the only available in Payroll Printing.

RE: In QuickBooks, printing paycheck allowances are currently unavailable. These are the only available in Payroll Printing.
This statement makes no sense. 1) There isn't a thing called "Payroll Printing" in QB. 2) Your screenshot is of the very preferences that impact printing a paycheck.
And, QuickBooks is supposed to print W-4 information on the paychecks. It has always worked this way. There is no preference to turn it on or off because it is supposed to always be on. Since it is required.
I hope status, allowances fed/state will show when printing paychecks like before. I really need this so our employees can see. Need your assistance.
Welcome to the thread, @BFaccounting.
I want to ensure were on the same page. If you're referring to the number of allowances to show on the paychecks. Then, this will only show up on the newly created paycheck.
If you're trying to print the old or already printed paychecks, then the details would no longer show up from there.

I am printing a new check and it still is not showing up like it used to. No withholding allowances information at all.

Employee allowances are no longer printing on paycheck stub. This used to work in 2019. No longer working in 2020.
Hello there, @djbindust.
Currently, this is working as designed based on the changes to W4. The new release version of QuickBooks, the allowances information was already removed and will no longer show on paystubs when print.

So is there a report or something so we can prove this in case of an audit or questions by employee? I had an issue come up with an employee for 2019 and thank God they still printed with this information except for the last pay run of the year.
Thanks for joining in, @linamarie78.
As mentioned by my colleagues above, allowances were removed due to the redesigned form W4. Allowances that were tied to a personal exemption amount are no longer allowed by law.
You can see the details outlined in What's changing with the Federal W4?
Additionally, you can see more information about the changes from the IRS directly.

Our employees want to see their # of exemptions on their paystubs. They change periodically and it would be beneficial to show them in order to make sure it is correct in the employee's eyes. Please let us know when this becomes available.
