Employees payroll - lost data

Good morning my QB friends,

im using QBD to do payroll with intuit services. My office got broken in and they stole my laptop, unfortunately i hadnot backed up my data at that time and i lost all employees payroll data from april-august. How can i recover those data to run w2 report for employees now

I can feel the challenges of losing your laptop and payroll data, @dragon1512. But I'm here to help you ensure your data will be recovered.

 

If you have set up Intuit Data Protect in your computer, you'll be able to retrieve your data. However, if it wasn't set up, you'll want to manually re-enter your payroll.

 

Also, you can contact the IRS to check if you can get a record of the employee's taxes. I'm adding the link I recommend IRS E-File Help Desk.
