Has anyone else’s employees not received W2’s mailed by QuickBooks Payroll on 1/13/24?

 I can share some information with employees receiving their W-2s, @Scruffy2737. 

For QuickBooks Online Payroll, if automated taxes and forms are on, we’ll mail the W-2s to your employees’ home addresses via USPS starting January 16 through January 31. If your employees still have not received a copy of their W-2 form, you can contact our Customer Support team to check the status in a secure environment. Our tools can help ensure that your employees receive their W-2 forms as soon as possible.

To contact our Customer Support team, please follow the steps below: 

1. Go to the Help icon to connect to a live support agent. 
2. Select the Search tab and click on the Contact Us button.
3.  Select a topic for your concern in the What can we help you with? section.
4. You'll now be provided options on how to connect to our Customer Support.

Yes. The system states for me that they were sent on 1/11/24 and no one has recieved them as of today.  I contacted them last week and was told that the date sent on my system does not mean they were sent that day. I stated to them that if that is not the date they were sent then it should not say that. I have contacted them several times and keep getting the answer they will be sent between the 16th and 31. It is very frustrating to me, because this is the first year I have had quickbooks handle the w2's, and I have never had them out to the employees this late, normally out by the 15th. It is frustrating

I just got off the phone with assisted payroll. W2's were sent the IRS January 6th. 

She thinks that the problem may be the IRS got them too early and now they're rushing and pushing out the W2's for the late filers first and then they'll get to the ones that were submitted early. 

(Sounds about right - if the government's involved in anything you know it's going to be backasswards). 

Employees and their W2's are now at the mercy of the IRS. They're the one's that send them.

I always thought Intuit sent them directly, apparently that's not the case. 

I have never heard of the irs sending out w2’s. This is my first year using them, but have processed payroll and w2’s for over 25 years and never has the irs sent them out. I think there must be something going on, and they are behind in getting them out and passing the buck. 

I think someone is trying to cover a problem. The irs does not send out the w2’s. I have worked with a different service for 25 years and never had this problem. I only changed because we are using quickbooks online and they process my other taxes. Think in the future I will print them and mail them out and then the employees will have 2 once quickbooks sends theirs, but I won’t encounter this problem. I am sorry, but I think quickbooks has failed miserably with this

None of my employees have received theirs either...we have used Quickbooks payroll for years and this is the first year I can remember them not being timely. I will be calling tomorrow.

Our company is having the same issues. We were able to go through the books on our end and print them.

I completely understand your frustration with the late delivery of the W-2 forms. As a small business owner, getting important tax documents out on time is critical.

Please know that we take our responsibility to provide timely W-2 forms very seriously. As per IRS regulation, all W-2s will be sent out and postmarked by 1/31.

It's February 13 and no one at my company has received them yet.  This happens every year with the W-2.  Of course with a company this size no one will take responsibility.  It's always some other departments fault.

It seems like if you go through the trouble of printing a bunch of mail labels on the 31st, you could just go to the trouble of actually mailing them.

Same problem, 2/20, still no W-2s.  On hold on the phone with them now.

My W2s were also received at the end of January. Unacceptable. Now they are being returned by the post office. Why can’t QuickBooks get this task right?
