Thanks for your interest with the contactor's Direct Deposit in QuickBooks, @rj34,
Getting the account information from your vendors is done manually. You can use this optional authorization form and email it to your contractors for record purposes. Have them fill out all the information and send it back to your business or personal email.

Let me know if you have further questions about the process. I'll be right here to guide you through the Direct Deposit setup. Have a lovely day!
Why does three popup say you can email them a link to safely do it themselves?
Hello there, @rj34.
You can send an email to your contractors so they can enter their bank information. I can guide you on how to do it.
1.Go to the Payroll or Workers menu.
2.Choose the Contractors tab.
3.Click the contractor's name.
4.Select the Send Email link.
5.Enter your contractor's email address.
Your contractor will receive an email, asking them to setup their Direct Deposit information.
Swing by here if you have other questions or concerns. I'm always here to help.
When I do those steps it does not give me to option to send the email.

It looks like the "send email" link has been removed. Is this still a feature?
Thanks for joining the thread, @rtm. Allow me to share some details about “send email” feature in QuickBooks Online.
This feature is available in QuickBooks Online.
You can do these troubleshooting actions to check if the issue is browser-related. Here’s how:

Good afternoon, @rtm.
Thanks for reaching back out and letting us know how it went. Allow me to point you in the right direction.
Since you're still having issues, then I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll be able to take a closer look at your account and walk you through some additional steps to get this feature. Here's how:
It's that easy!
Feel free to keep us updated on this matter. It's our priority that you're able to get back to running your business. Take care!
I reached out to Customer Support team as I am having the exact same issue and they were not able to do anything as well. Said to clear cache/cookies, incognito mode, etc.... and still nothing. It looks like the email is sent but it never arrives. This is a bug which Quickbooks needs to investigate.
If there was at least some way for Support to pass along the URL of the "Set up Direct Deposit" link in the email (that is supposed to arrive) then we could pass that along to our contractors to complete the bank information.
Several of our contractors don't feel comfortable sharing bank account information over the phone/email, so there must be a more secure way to allow them to enter their own information.
This is a significant security gap in the Quickbooks product.
I (think) I found a quick work around...
The 'Send email' button was gone for me as well. But I clicked into the personal details section and then selected the pencil icon to edit the information. I changed nothing, just hit save, and then the 'Send email' link appeared at the top right corner.
Worth a try for anyone else experiencing this issue.
But completely agree, this is a bug on Quickbooks end that they need to fix.
Thank you for that work around! The Send Email link did appear; now, hopefully, the link was actually sent to the contractor.
