Hi there, @DebWolfe.
You might be using one of our payroll subscriptions that automatically pay and file taxes for you. This is the reason why QuickBooks is automatically withdrawing the tax amount from your bank account.
For now, we're unable to delete the bank account in the payroll settings. However, you can still downgrade your subscription to manual tax payment and filing. You can reach out to our QuickBooks Payroll support to perform this action.
Here's how:
Please check out our support hours to ensure that we address your concerns on time.

Reymond,
I have been using QB Online since February of this year- I process weekly payroll- I did not opt to have my payroll taxes paid by QB, and there hasn't been an issue, then all of a sudden yesterday I get an email that money will be withdrawn from my bank account- after a two hour chat yesterday, I was told they had turned off the feature- this morning I get another email that the money is still coming out of my account- that is why I want to delete my bank information, I can't have money coming out of my bank account that I did not authorize and no one at QB can tell me how it suddenly got activated or how to delete the bank information- it's unprofessional to me that I am not able to delete my bank account info when there are errors being made by QB where they are taking money out that is not authorized.

MaryAnn- I did get a call back but unfortunately, just like yesterday with the chat- no one has been able to help me with what seems should be an easy fix- I waited 40 minutes while the person I was talking to tried to get help from "a higher level", but I had to leave the call- I feel like I'm back to square one- I am stunned at the lack of service support when QB is creating transactions to withdrawl money from my checking account- which I have not authorized- seems like that is important enough that I should be getting a call from someone who can take care of this.
I can only imagine what you must be feeling right now., @DebWolfe.
We'll review your previous call and forward your feedback to the Customer Service Team. Also, we'd like to inform you that every call is documented by our agents. Therefore, we can still track your last call and continue what we have started to fix the issue.
With that having said, I'd recommend giving us another call and we'll make sure that this will be taken care of this time.
