How I delete a payment account I made by mistake

Hi Ivan.


Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page. I'll help you with deleting a payment account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).


If you set this account from the Chart of Accounts, you can remove it from there. I'll guide you how.


  1. Open your QBO account.
  2. Click on Accounting at the left pane, then tap on Chart of Accounts.
  3. Look for the payment account from the list, then select Make inactive under Action.
  4. Select Yes to confirm the action.
