QB online.  Check never cleared the bank, the mobile deposit was rejected and just discovered.  Check written in june of 2023 need to have dated 4/30/24

How to reissue an expired payroll check from the prior year with todays date and not affect payroll tax reports?

Before anything else, please know you'll need the original check number, amount, and date to complete the rest of the steps. These are the steps to get you going:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to Payroll, then select Employees.
  3. Select Paycheck list.
  4. Update the check number with a new check number.
  5. Select Save and Close.
