It seems that you need help in setting up your payroll account. Please follow these steps:
- Go to the Employees menu, then select Add Payroll.
- Click Try It Now to create a payroll account.
- Go to the To Do tab and select Complete Setup.

QuickBooks Desktop for Mac integrates with Intuit Online Payroll. These are the steps in creating a paycheck or check this link for more details: Create pay checks in online payroll.
- From the Payday tab, select a pay schedule.
- Select the employees you'd like to pay and enter the payroll details such as the hours worked.
- Tap Create Pay checks.
- Confirm the amounts and payment methods, and select Approve Pay checks.
Once done running payroll, you can export the transactions and import them to your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac for accounting purposes.
