Hello there, stratons-gmail-c.
Let's figure out if the browser issue is the cause of why you're getting that error message. First, let's try clicking the Reload icon to refresh your browser. If the same thing happens, you can log in using an incognito window. Then, access the link sent by your employer.
This way, we'll know if it's your regular browser, which causes this unexpected behavior. Follow the shortcut keys, depending on what browser you're using.
If it works fine, you can go back to your main browser and clear the cache. It helps to troubleshoot and increases the performance of your browser. Aside from that, you can open the link in a different browser.
Here's a couple of articles that you can check for additional reference:
Let me know if you have other questions. Take care always.
Hello, I tried opening my 1099 through a different browser and in incognito mode but I still get that error: There’s an issue on our end. We’re on it.
I have been getting this error for a week now.
Thanks for bringing this one to our attention, nicoleshannen.
We have an ongoing investigation where the user is prompted with "There's an issue on our end. We're on it." upon creating a free Intuit account to access 1099. Our engineers are working together for a permanent fix on this problem. In this case, we recommend contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team to add you to the list of affected users. From there, they'll pull u your account in a secure environment and send you an email notification once there's an update on this issue.
Feel free to visit our Tax forms page for more insights about adding and managing your tax forms.
We appreciate your patience in this matter. You can always post again if you have questions about your QuickBooks Self-Employed. Take care always.
Any update on this?
I've tried periodically to log in as I keep getting reminder emails. Nothing seems to help (different browsers, different devices).
If I wasn't being forced by a client to use this stupid system I would have given up long ago.
And here in the 'help' section there is no help whatsoever. Terrible way to run a business for businesses.
We don't want you to experience this kind of encounter,
As I can check, the investigation with regard to this matter has been closed. Despite our efforts, our engineers we're unable to deliver electronic access to these 1099 forms for some contractors at this time, specifically for contractors who already have another user in the small business owner’s QBO company.
However, you can use these two alternatives to obtain contractor's 1099 forms:
I've also added these references that have information about filling out your 1099-MISC forms:
If you need anything else, please feel free to leave a reply below. I'll be right here to help you out again. Take care!
Resolved? Not in my case it is not resolved.
I opened up another thread about it so maybe I can get some actual help there.
It's May 26th, 2022, I am having the same issue:
"There's an issue on our end. We're on it."
This error occurred when I tried to log in.

January 2023 checking in....still not resolved. The problem is, QB employees, that none of us can even get past the log in screen in order to contact anyone for help. QB isn't even recognizing my account anymore, for some reason, so I don't know what's going on there.
I have to vent here. This is a big reason why I'm leaving Intuit; many times things are glitchy from a tech standpoint, and when you try to get help, you often get a few pre-scripted steps to try, probably from a corporate flowchart that they give to the customer service reps. When those don't work, they just send you links to articles that don't address your issue, and try to sell you on their other products. I understand, the employees are probably instructed to do this, but that isn't helping anyone, because you'd have to be a complete moron to have your issue fail to be resolved and turn around and buy more products from Intuit. So, nobody wins. I just wish someone would tell me "ok, no problem, let's figure this out together. So, walk me through what is happening on your end...", but no. Apparently, in this case it's just "try formulated response #1, #2, and #3. Those didn't work for you? Well, shucks, guess you're out of luck. Here, here's an article that mentions your keyword, and by the way, don't forget to check out our other products so you can give us more of your hard-earned money. Don't you feel better now?". Like I said, I'm sure it's Intuit's poor training and policies that are dictating this, but I've had enough, myself. These are people's tax forms you're messing with, and luckily for me, I can get my client to give me my 1099 some other way, but what if I couldn't?
