Immediately after running payroll I always go to TAXES and submit/pay our weekly 941 federal deposit.
Weeellllll.... today I did not get that option. It says something stupid like " Coast is clear"
Every payroll run I choose to pay my Federal 941 taxes immediately. The QB website does not like it and has always discourage me by saying something like" it is stil accruing, you can wait a few days" But I do not want to wait. I want to pay this tax as soon as I run payroll.
Please change this back so I can my weekly federal taxes when I want to.
Thanks

Hi LDO,
I would also feel the same way if I were in your situation, especially when a function I do regularly like paying taxes after running payroll can't be done because of an error. Let me help you out.
If you haven't already, you can do the basic troubleshooting steps to check if these messages are caused by random browser issues. Let's start by signing in to QuickBooks using an private browser. This step disables its extensions and stops the cache from saving your browsing history.
If you don't see the messages while browsing privately, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If you still see them, please try other browsers to see if this only happens to the one you use or not.
Let me know if you need more help as you go through the process.
That fixed it! I could see the tax payment pay option in Incognito mode. So once I cleared the cache and other history I could see the tax payment option.
Are you telling me that this is not a QB problem but a browser issue?
Why did this happen? When will it happen again? Does this just happen randomly. It never happened when I was on intuit for over 12 years. What If I miss paying taxes because of this problem?
Obviously this is a known problem, anything we can do about it?
Thanks

Thanks for getting back with the Community, LDO.
I'm happy to hear JessT was able to help you to see your tax payment option.
When browser issues like this are identified, they are caused by temporary internet files, otherwise known as cached data and cookies. With how browsers function, they commonly collect this data for all websites that you visit. Over time, these temporary files can sometimes cause websites/webpages to not display, function, or load properly.
When this behavior is identified on Intuit webpages, you can clear cached data and Intuit-specific cookies to cleanse your browser of the cluttered temporary internet files. This will help pages display, function, and load as they should.
If you ever notice something isn't displaying as it should, or feel you should check even though you haven't noticed any issues, you can always open an incognito window in a supported browsing application, as you did while following JessT's steps. This will help to identify if there's something going on with Intuit webpages because of the browser and its temporary internet files.
I've also included a detailed resource about system requirements for QuickBooks which may come in handy moving forward: System requirements
