I need help with payroll

I'm here to help you with the payroll service in QuickBooks Online.

You need to prepare the following information below if you want to set up the service.

• Company information
    - You need the company's bank account for direct deposit or electronic tax payments.
• Compensation and benefits
    -  Types of employee benefits: hourly wages, salaries, bonuses, commissions, and tips.
    - Types of employee compensation: health and dental insurance, 401(k), retirement plans, vacation/sick leave, or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
    - Other additions and deduct: cash advances, mileage and travel reimbursements, union dues, and wage garnishments
• Employees
    - Completed Form W-4 for each employee.
    - Pay rate
    - Paycheck deduction
    - Pay schedule
    - Sick/vacation hours policy and balance (if applicable)
    - Hire and termination dates.
• Direct Deposit
    - Employees' bank account and routing number for DD paychecks
• Tax information
    - Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and state agency ID numbers
    - Filing requirement and deposit schedule for payroll taxes
    - Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) enrollment
• Prior Payrolls
    - You need to know the amounts to accurately calculate new paychecks and complete your tax forms.

Once ready, here's how to set up the service:

1. Select Workers from the left menu, then Employees.
2. Click Get set up to begin the setup process.
3. Enter the company and employee information.
