Intuit Online Payroll e-filing NC Unemployment

Good morning!

We signed up several new clients for Intuit Online Payroll back in June and submitted Form 8655 to IOP.  To date, the NC state withholding has not been approved for e-filing (state issue, not IOP).  We received notification (from IOP) that the NC State Unemployment was approved and it even specifically states it is approved when we "check e-filing status" in IOP.  However, now that the third quarter reports are due, when we try to e-file/pay, it says it's not.  Time is running out and we can't seem to get the proper level of support to communicate.  Doing an online chat isn't getting us any where.  Suggestions?  Filing on the state website isn't an option since that requires a PIN that the state issues.  Having the client mail a paper form with payment defeats the purpose and will likely cost us clients.

Intuit Online Payroll e-filing NC Unemployment

Thank you Candice, chats with support have not gotten me anywhere, that's why I came to the Community.  No one has given us an answer as to why we can't file or why the conflicting messages about our ability to e-file.  Twice I've been told someone will contact me with more information, but have never been contacted.  We're getting frustrated and nervous about the tax filing deadline.

Intuit Online Payroll e-filing NC Unemployment

Let me help you E-file NC unemployment, @BBarnhart.

I also get disappointed when the product that used to have the feature I always work on suddenly misfunctions. Usually, you'll have the ability to E-file the state unemployment tax when you have an active payroll subscription, and the account is E-filing ready (Form 8655 is submitted).

In this case, I know you already contacted them, but I'd still encourage you to get in touch with our Payroll Specialists. They have the tools to access your account in a secure session. This way, our representative can investigate and tell you why E-filing the NC Unemployment tax isn't enabled on your end. You can also request them to screen share so they can take a look at your Intuit Online Payroll account.

Also, you can browse these links that contain the forms you need to submit quarterly and yearly.

I always want to see your business grow bigger. If you have additional questions or concerns about filing tax forms, feel free to comment here. Anytime I'll help you. Take care!

Intuit Online Payroll e-filing NC Unemployment

First level chat has not been able to give any answers, the 8655s were submitted the first part of July, late June for 10 newly converted clients.  We received notification that e-services for NC Unemployment was approved.  When in the client checking e-services status,  e-services for NC Unemployment says it's good to go.  But when we try to click e-payment, it's says we can't do that.  The inconsistency is what is frustrating.
