Is there an onboarding HR resource/tool within QuickBooks? This will allow an employee to onboard online prior to start date.

With QuickBooks Online Payroll, you can set up some of your new employee's information, then invite them to add the rest.
 

Here's how:

1. In your left navigation bar, go to Payroll.
2. Access the Employees tab.
3. Click Add an employee.
4. Enter their First name, Last name, and Email address in your Personal Info section.
5. Confirm the "Ask this employee to enter their personal, tax (2020 W-4), and banking info with QuickBooks Workforce." option is ticked.
6. Specify their Hire date in your Just a few more details... area.
7. Select Done.
   

The worker will receive an email inviting them to enter their Address, Social Security Number, W-4, and banking details through QuickBooks Workforce. This also gives them an option to view pay stubs and W-2s online.
