Most of my payroll reports are blank. For example payroll summary and employee list. I need these reports to file my taxes. Any ideas how to correct this?

You came to the right place for help with your payroll reports, @gavin17,

Allow me to share some insights on how you can get the information displayed on the type of report you need.

Normally, the data on the report is extracted from the elements and transactions in QBO. In case you need the Payroll summary report, the pay checks must be created within the program to display total wages, taxes, and deductions. You also have to filter the period you want to view to update the information.

If you have created the employee profile with their details, and all payroll entries are added but not showing on the report, let's perform some browser troubleshooting. Issues in the program are sometimes affected by the data accumulated in the cache.

Open a private window and see if the error appears there. Incognito mode will not save history, which makes it a great place to test for caching problems.

You can use any of these keyboard shortcuts to launch a private window on different browsers:

Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N

Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P

Safari: press Command Shift N

If you can see the details on the report, go back to regular browsing then clear the browser's cache. This method removes the cache history to start with a clean slate.

I'll be right here if you need further help with pulling the data in your payroll reports. Just give me a shout out to notify me of your reply. Have a nice day!

I figured out QBO works just fine in the web browser. Something is wrong with the QBO app. I tried clearing cache and clearing data in the QBO app, but I still can't get most payroll reports to print. Since it works fine in a web browser, I've moved on and I'll probably just uninstall the buggy app.
