Why hasn't the new income tax rate of 3.15% been implemented in the 2023 payroll updates?
I appreciate you dropping by here in the Community, @DKHARTSOUGH,
To ensure that you'll get the new income tax rate in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll, let's make sure to download the latest version of the tax table. Let me guide you on how:
1. On your QBDT account, go to Employees, then select Get Payroll Updates.

Let us know if you require further assistance with updating your income tax rate in QBDT Payroll. The Community team always has your back. Have a great day!
@DHeraV I appreciate your response BUT I didn't need help downloading the payroll update. I'm asking WHY hasn't Intuit changed the Indiana withholding tax rate to 3.15%, the new rate effective Jan 1, 2023.
It is disappointing to say the least.
Hi DKHARTSOUGH,
The new rate for Indiana withholding tax is actually part of the update (22301) in December 2022. Here's our official article: Get the latest payroll news and updates in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll. Find Indiana in the list.
On the other hand, we'll have another tax table update tomorrow, January 12. You should be prompted when it's ready to download. Then, let us know if you're still having the same issue. If you've already created paychecks using the old rate, the withholding will auto-adjust on the next payroll.
Feel free to go back to this thread if you have more questions in mind.
I have the current tax table 22301 - my Indiana withholding is calculating at 3.23%.
Can you make the programming team aware of this so it will be corrected in the January 12th update ?
