Payroll did not post to general ledger

Hey there, @mahoneycpa.

I'll share some information on how to show your payroll data in the General Ledger report.

Let's make sure that the date of the report is filtered according to when the transaction is created. This can be the reason why unable to view your payroll data. Just go back to the General Ledger report and filter its Report period.

If the same thing happens, sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues.

Sometimes local internet cache files stored in the system can cause unexpected behavior in the product.

Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

Then, open the General Ledger report again.

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. We can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

I've got a link here that provides you with articles about managing your financial reports in QBO: Setting up reports to customize, run, and share.

I'll be right here to continue helping if you need a hand with exporting your reports or any QBO related. Assistance is just a post away. Have a great day ahead.
