Payroll numbers don't match

Hey there, @davekolima.

Can you share with us what payroll numbers are you referring to? This way, we can identify the cause of its discrepancy and provide you the proper steps to fix it. Any additional info would be much appreciated.

In case you're referring to payroll numbers in your tax forms, you can run some of the payroll reports in QuickBooks. Then, compare it with your actual payroll data. Just make sure that its payroll period is matched to your dates in your report.

Additionally, let's ensure that your payroll items, rates, and tax info are properly set up. This might also be the reason why your payroll data don't match your actual amount.

I'd also recommend reaching out to your accountant. This way, they can help review your payroll data and identify the cause of these discrepancies.

As the end of the year approaches, you need to complete certain tasks in QuickBooks to prepare for the new year. You can use our guide to complete year-end tasks and end the year smoothly.

Payroll numbers don't match

Hello there, davekolima. Thanks for getting back to us.

I can see the importance of resolving your payroll tax problem right away in QuickBooks Online. As of now, we’re receiving high callback request volume due to tax season, so waiting time may be increased. Still, I'd recommend requesting a callback or messaging an agent without publishing your phone number. This keeps you from any fraudulent activities.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Help at the upper-right corner.
  2. Enter a short description of your concern.
  3. Click Talk to a human. Then, I still need a human.
  4. You can then get a callback or send a message to start a conversation with our specialist.

Also, you can provide additional details about the things you want to fix in your payroll. This way, we can easily figure out and share you with the best resolution for that kind of issue. You may want to check the lists of payroll reports in the program.

Please know that this is a public forum, where we must refrain from sharing any personal or private business information such as your phone number. Feel free to post again if you have other concerns with QuickBooks. Stay safe and take care!
