No one has reached out to me. Whenever I've asked for a callback, no one has ever responded??
I'm not a programmer so I don't understand all this mumble jumble. That's why I pay Quickbooks for support to fix these types of errors. Another accountant I know is having the same problem.
This should be addressed and fixed by the Quickbooks support team.
I'm getting the same error. When I open the ReportHeader.xml file and search for the error code requested it just says:
System.Exception: exception thrown in background task at Intuit.QuickBooks.Payroll.Shared.Util.IndeterminateProgressWorker.DoWorkInternal(String initialProgress) at Intuit.QuickBooks.Payroll.Shared.Util.IndeterminateProgressWorker.DoWorkOut(String initialProgress) at DAM.UPSFactory.RunPayrollInterview()
Doesn't appear to be any known fix.
Thank you for sharing the error code you've encountered, @IMVIZE. I'm here to share possible fixes.
The error code and investigation mentioned in the thread affect Desktop Assisted Payroll and Desktop DIY Payroll users. With this, may I know what version you're using? It can help me narrow down where the issue is coming from and provide more troubleshooting for you.
In the meantime, please make sure that you saved the file locally and are signed in as an administrator while in the single-user mode. Check the employee and payroll item lists for any items with special characters in their names. If there are, remove or merge the duplicates.
