Hello there, @nmas.

It's nice to see you today in the QuickBooks Community. Thank you for the information you've shared with us about the new requirements for filing the NYS-45 tax form.

QuickBooks Online Payroll provides payroll updates automatically to QuickBooks Payroll subscribers. These updates provide the most current and accurate rates and calculations for supported state and federal tax tables, payroll tax forms and e-file and payment options.

For the new wage reporting requirements for NYS-45, which is to complete all of Part C, including columns d and e, each calendar quarter for all employees will be released at the end of the year. Since federal and state agencies release the bulk of its changes for the upcoming year, our Compliance Team collects all the majority of the supported changes then release them at the end of the year.

For additional information about the NYS-45 new wage reporting requirements, you can also check this article: https://www.tax.ny.gov/bus/wt/wage-reporting-2019.htm

That should do it. Drop a comment below if you have any other questions about the new NYS-45 tax form update. I'll be happy to help you further.

Hello there,

I am trying to generate in QuickBooks the NYS-45 and I do not see that part C is coming up with information. I have 10 employees and suppossedy the Form NYS-45-ATT should be generated but it does not show anywhere.

Can someone tell me how to get there?

Hi there, @Elvia0.

Thank you for joining us in this thread. I'll be happy to get you to the right support to get this resolved.

QuickBooks automatically enter the employee wage and withholding information in Part C of your NYS-45 form. However, since you have 10 employees, you don't need to make entries in that section. You're correct. You need to create the NYS-45-ATT instead.

I'd suggest getting in touch with our Customer Care Team for further assistance. Our phone support can do screen sharing to check your account for anything that might cause this problem to occur.

For additional reference, you can also visit the QuickBooks Blog to see the latest product enhancements. We send out newsletters each month to keep our customers updated with what’s new about the application, and you’ll also get some tips on how to manage the business using QBO.

Please let me know how the call goes or if you have any other questions about payroll. I'll be happy to help you out. Have a great rest of your week.
