Payroll tax rejected

Hello there, nirenpatelcpa.

I've got the possible reasons why a payroll tax is rejected:

  • Incorrect PIN for e-filing
  • Credential Vault might be corrupted.
  • Updated the e-payment bank account in QuickBooks Desktop, but did not change it on the EFTPS.gov website.

Let's make sure to verify the 10 digit PIN you received from the IRS after enrolling to e-file. Then, re-enter the information in QuickBooks Desktop and submit the filing again.

To view the solution for the other scenarios, please check this article: Troubleshoot efile or epay rejection issues.

With regard to the rejected e-payment, here's an article: How to handle an e-payment that has been rejected by the agency.
