Since you already created the Cash Tips pay type (deduction), here's how to add the deduction to get to the right employees' net pay:
- In QuickBooks Online (QBO), go to the Workers or Payroll menu on the left panel.
- Click Run payroll at the top right corner of the screen.
- Select the Bank account and Pay period, then enter the Pay date.
- Choose the employees you’re working on.
- Enter the amount in the Cash Tips box.
- Hit Preview payroll.
- Once you're ready, you can Submit payroll.
