QB is holding a payment without informing as to why

I can explain in detail why payments are on hold in QuickBooks Online (QBO), teamtimebombmoto.

Payments can be placed on hold when our team detects issues during the transaction review process. Should any problems arise, you will be notified via email with details and recommended actions or solutions. Generally, our review process is completed within two business days, provided all matters are resolved.

Here are several typical reasons for holds:

  • When your payment processing exceeds the established maximum dollar amount expected on your account.
  • When a transaction is processed after several authorization attempts and failures.
  • When certain transactions require verification of your business type to ensure it is compliant with the Intuit Acceptable Use Policy.
  • When our systems identify processing patterns that pose a risk to any of the parties involved: You, your customer, or Intuit.

If payments remain on hold for more than 2-3 days, I recommend reaching out to our Payment support team for assistance in identifying and providing details regarding the hold funds.

Moreover, I am providing these resources for your reference when handling online payments from your customers:

I am pleased to assist you once more if you have additional inquiries regarding payments or any other issues.

Actually, @teamtimebombmoto   IT's what QB does.  They ALWAYS say there has been, or will be an email sent. There RARELY seems to be one.  Ever.

You see, QB will "hold" your money, so that they can collect interest off of it.  Then, when they decide to, they will release it.  Just know that it could take days, weeks, or even MONTHS before they release it.

It's all very shady and dishonest, actually.

But don't take my word for it.  Use the Search bar at the top of any page, here in the community, to find hundreds of other QB users that have had, or are having, this happen to them.

Good luck!!
