941 payments not going through

Starting this morning, every 941 payment that was submitted via QB Desktop has not been received by EFTPS.  I have not received an email acknowledgment, nor does anything show up on the EFTPS website.  The payment was submitted, but literally nothing after that. 

 

Please advise...

Thanks for reaching out to the Community forum, @RickMo. Let me help you in checking your tax payments.

 

Once you pay your taxes electronically via your QuickBooks Desktop account, your return is processed. And expect to get an email confirmation within 24-48 hours.

 

To ensure the agency will receive the payment on time, let's check your e-pay status. Here's how:

 

  1. On your QBDT account, go to the Employees menu.
  2. Select Payroll Center, then choose the Pay Liabilities tab.
  3. In the Payment History section, select the E-Payments tab.
  4. If the status isn't updating, toggle between the All Payments tab and the E-Payment tab. It will refresh the list.
  5. Select the View link in the Audit Trail column for more details.

I'm having the same issue, no acknowledgements...and we are getting close to 48 hours...and getting close to payments being late causing penalties.

Let me share additional information about the lead time for electronically paid tax payments.

 

The processing time can take 24 to 48 hours to submit your tax forms or payments. You may track the check e-pay status from time to time by following the steps provided by my colleague above.

 

However, if the e-payment wasn't successfully processed by the agency after 48 hours, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, we'll be able to pull up your account and verify its status. Here's how to connect with us:

 

  1. Open QBDT, then go to the Help menu.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Click Contact Us at the bottom.
  4. Enter "Unable to email paystub" in the description box, then select Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account and select Continue and then Continue with my account.
  6. We'll email you a single-use code. Enter your code and select Continue.
  7. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.

Also, if you happen to receive a federal, state, or local payroll tax penalty due to issues or errors while using our payroll products, we'll help you resolve it.
