Thanks for dropping by the Community, @dove278057. I’ve got the steps that can help you cancel your e-file.
If you need to make corrections to your payroll data or delete an e-file that has not been processed yet or is manually recorded, you can follow these steps:
- Go to Taxes > Payroll tax.
- Under Taxes, click the View tax payments you have made link.
- Select the name of the tax payment. Change the date range if necessary.
- From the View and Print Form drop-down, choose Delete.
- Hit Yes to confirm deletion.
Cancelling an e-filed form requires access to your payroll account, which we're unable to do here in the Community without asking your details. For security purposes, I don't want them to be displayed here.
That said, I highly suggest contacting our Payroll Support team. They have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and cancel the submission for you.
- In your QuickBooks Online account, go to Help > Assistant.
- Type Talk to a human and proceed with, I still need a human.
- Click the Contact us link.
- Select either Messaging or Callback.
I’m adding this article to file your sales tax return and record your tax payment in QuickBooks Online. You can also check your e-file and e-pay status here.
For reference, I’ve also added this link in case you want to delete a tax payment.
I'm just a post away if you have any follow-up questions about e-file. You can click the Reply button and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
