Let me help change your State Unemployment rate in QuickBooks. As long as you received a rate notice from your state, you can go to your payroll settings directly to change or add a new rate.
Here's how:
- Go to the Gear Icon and select Payroll Settings under Your Company.
- Click the Tax Setup folder.
- Choose the State on your State Tax Information.
- Click Change or add new rate.
- Enter the new rate as a percentage from the notice you received from your state (please see attached screenshot).
- Enter the Effective Date from the notice you received from your state.
- Once done, click OK.
