I've been trying to setup the company view of VMP.
Every time I try, I get the "Company Realm" error. (See #2 on the link below)
https://community.intuit.com/articles/1762592-viewmypaycheck-known-errors-and-issues-that-can-be-enc...
I've tried following their instructions... I close out of the company file, log back in, go to the My Company page... and there's my Realm ID. It's there. But when I go back to Employees>Manage Payroll Cloud Services and try the process again, it's STILL not recognizing my Realm ID.
What do I need to do from here?
Hello, @ebo8302.
I appreciate the steps you've taken to resolve the Company Realm error. I've already checked if there's an ongoing issue about this unusual behavior when setting up access to VMP, however, there's no reported investigation about this.
I'd be happy to lend you a hand and route you to the right support that can further check this error. They'll be able to access your account in a secure environment and dig deeper on what's causing this problem.

Has there been a resolution to this issue? We are two days away from 2020, and I am very concerned.
Hello there, @SFlorman.
QBO has released a new update so that your employees can access their paychecks easily through the QuickBooks (QB) Workforce portal. All you need to do as an employer are the following:
Then, you can now set up your company file for QB Workforce Admin and invite your employees.
Also, you can refer to this article to guide you on Workforce portal and help your employees access their paychecks: Set up QuickBooks Workforce for your QuickBooks Desktop.
Please comment below if you need further assistance on setting up your QuickBooks Workforce. I’ll be back to help. Have a nice day ahead.
This issue has not been fixed yet:
Company Realm Error
The access to VMP admin view is denied because the realm ID was not found.
I am unable to invite employees to view their paychecks because of a realm error as well. we have reset the password for the administrator and still no go. This is an ongoing issue. I tried to do a chat today but it seems the company is closed or choosing not to respond. I have employees who are going to need their W-2's.
I understand how important your time is, @BPF1.
Currently, there's an investigation where some users are unable to invite their employees to view their paycheck.
As away around, let's change the configuration of your QBW.ini file. Here's how.
Rest assured, our engineering team is working to fix this as soon as possible. Once this issue resolved, you'll be notified via email.
To be notified, I recommend contacting our support team. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users. Here's how.

Hi,
I did the reset, and it still not working for me. In F2, I see the realm ID as null. Not sure what I need to do to fix it.
Thanks

What is the qbw.ini file? Geez
I’d be glad to share with you some insights about QBW.INI file, @gspangler.
The QBW.INI is the file used by Quickbooks to store initialization information. You can edit this file and change program parameters for how the software loads and behaves.
This is not a part of the QB Company data file. It’s more as an aspect of storing settings that include the bottom left of the shortcuts sidebar for instance.
If you’re unsure about making some changes to your QuickBooks Program parameters, I recommend working with your IT expert. This way, you'll be guided accordingly.
To view your QBW.INI file, open your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), Press F2 on your keyboard, then F3. Go to the Open File tab. Find QBW.ini and click on the Open File Button.
In case you want to learn some best practices in managing your software, you can always visit our QuickBooks Support page for reference. We have articles there that you can read for future guidance.
Let me know if you have other concerns or questions about managing your account. I’m always around to help. Have a great weekend ahead!
Wow, thank you for your response.
Does it matter where i add this setting in the QBW.ini file
(This will clear the sync settings) [SYNC_SETTINGS] CLEARSYNC='Y'
What a joke your support is. Three months and still for fix for me either. Why don't you credit our accounts, for the payroll service and products purchase. Incredible!
