Direct deposit fees for desktop pro 2024 enhanced payroll accountants cost? Should be free with the doubled price of the enhanced Payroll, nothing so enhanced for the double in price.
Hello there, @TNT 1.
I comprehend the situation and how it may affect you with the changes in QuickBooks pricing. Allow me to lay down the benefits you'll receive for these upcoming changes.
The QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll for Accountants' annual and monthly prices are changing on Oct. 1, 2024. The 50% off with ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing when bundled with Accounting Software Bundle still applies.
With regards to the deposit fee, it still applies with the amount of $5 per transactions when paying W2 employees.
We are increasing prices due to QuickBooks growing into a comprehensive, AI-enhanced platform that helps you and each of your clients succeed at every stage of their business journey. The program aims to continuously provide organized and streamlined workflows while working on your books.
Additionally, by integrating Intuit Assist (a new generative AI-powered financial assistant), QuickBooks will help businesses thrive by automating tasks and workflows, such as building action plans to help them meet business goals and answering their financial questions without delay.
Moreover, we've improved the Accountant version with new features like document management and accountant-specific views, making it easier to track client transactions and app usage.
Here are several new and improved payroll functionalities:

AI should make things cheaper as you will need fewer employees. With this kind of impact you will loose all your small businesses as they cannot afford your ridiculous costs. Only reason I am still on QB is my customers went together and paid the exuberant 1494.50 plus the 692 for the software.
That still doesn't explain why there is still a cost for direct deposit, which is free after the set up.
Also, I can not move to online as I am a small payroll company and have multiple FEIN numbers, so I am forced to stay with the desktop Pro version. [PII Removed]
You have QBD Pro Plus + Enhanced Payroll ($550/year + $6/employee/month + Direct Deposit fee/employee), correct? Your renewal fees are as follows
Pro Plus = starts from $999 for single user
Enhanced Payroll = $700/year + $7/employee/month + Direct Deposit fee/employee
You should consider upgrading your data to QBD Enterprise Gold and purchase the new license via a partner to get 20% perpetual discounts on renewals. Your total cost will be lower than renew Pro Plus/Premier Plus + Enhanced Payroll.
