direct deposit set up

When I try to set up direct deposit in my Quick Books Desk top, it will not let me enter a PIN. It blinks but won't let me type.

direct deposit set up

Welcome to the Community, @taxman1619.

I've come to help set up direct deposit in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

I'll be sharing another set of troubleshooting to ensure you'll able to set up direct deposit seamlessly.

To fix the unusual behavior that you're experiencing, let's make sure you're running the updated Windows version and get the latest tax table update. This is to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes.

Then, you can start by running a quick fix on your program from the QuickBooks Tools Hub. First, download and install the QuickBooks Tools Hub.

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Then, save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
  3. If you've already installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have from the Home tab.
  4. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. When the installation finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

From the Tools Hub, run the Quick Fix my Program. It shuts down any open background processes QuickBooks uses. It'll run a quick repair of your program.

  1. In the QuickBooks Tools Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Select Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.

If the issue persists, I highly suggest contacting our Support team. They have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and check the cause of this behavior. They can also perform other troubleshooting steps to fix this for you.

Additionally, I've included an article that'll help you learn what you can do if you've reached your direct deposit limit. This ensures you're able to pay your employees on time: Get Help if You’re Over a Direct Deposit Limit.

I'm only a post away if you need any additional assistance with your QuickBooks tasks, taxman1619. It's always a delight to assist you again.
