I am Curious if anyone in sales or service will address many of these responses.
Wow (removed) could make a bundle on getting something better out there!
They are beyond terrible. We went to the "online" version which has been a disaster. Its slow not user friendly. Takes me 3 times as long to do anything. They over charge for this service, And when you talk to them you must be talking to someone in Egypt cant understand them. We will be changing after the first to a different company for our business. Quickbooks sucks in my opinion.
@Derrickoh01 Oh, but they're trying their hardest. After all, they aspire to have the most commonly used pages load in no more than 10 seconds!
Yes, terrible. They spend their time changing forms instead of working on substantive problems. Also, whenever you find a good work-around for an issue, they put limits on the work around and then try to charge an additional fee for it (such as the use of classes). They need to sh*t-can their associates degree'd business analyst and use someone that actually understands accounting (like an accountant).
QBO is garbage through and through. It's a bloated, poorly-designed, poorly-coded, bug-riddled mess. And the greed-driven monsters at Intuit couldn't give a flip that so many people hate it. They certainly have NO interest in fixing any of it. As @staceyfink2 said perfectly, they'd rather fiddle with forms (making them even uglier and less user friendly than ever) than address the real problems. They don't even respond to the mountain of negative comments on their own site. So instead, take it to their YouTube page. They post three to four videos a day. Let their prospective users see and hear why they avoid QBO at all costs and find a working/workable alternative.
Yes it’s complete garbage. It takes me 3 times longer to get anything done in QB. it lacks in so many ways. They don’t try to make any improvements to make it any better but they don’t have a problem going up of the cost for this garbage. I’m in the process of changing over to a different program and drop QB asap.
I get a notification that subscription expired but I have paid up till Jan 2025. This is not the first time this has happened and it's always right before a weekend with no support.
Thanks for joining this conversation, Steinwoman. Allow me to chime in and ensure this is taken care of for you.
May I ask where you received your email notification with QuickBooks Online (QBO)? Any additional information will help me provide the best resolution for your concern if you receive this from your QuickBooks account or within the product.
With this, the best action we can take is to speak with our Support team, They have the tools to check the cause and allow them to submit a ticket to our engineering team to alert them about the issue if necessary.
Here's how to reach them:
To check for our Support hours, refer to this article: QuickBooks Online Support.
Additionally, you can check this article to learn how to manage your QBO subscription: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.
If you have other concerns about email notifications of your subscription. Just leave a comment on this thread and I'll be more than happy to help you again.
Make sure it's not a phishing email. Log in to your QBO account and check your subscription status.
That message pops up for me when using quickbooks desktop -- at least once a month. I have made numerous calls to support, done reinstalls, upgrades, changed computers to no avail. The "Good News" if there is any, is that the past several times it has popped up, it has not actually rendered my software inoperable.
What pop up message? Can you click the camera icon on the menu to insert image here?
Login to CAMPS and check your license status. Are you using QB Desktop Enterprise with a monthly subscription?
Using Desktop with ANNUAL subscription. I have spent countless hours on the phone with support on this subject (including going into CAMPS). I am relieved that although I still get the error periodically, it has not rendered my software inoperable in many months. I'm not willing to invest any more time on with support about this issue, unless it stops my software again.
Yes, support does not know anything. We have tried for 2 months to get payroll activated, due to bank fraud we moved to a new account. Qbooks cannot seem to get the new account updated. We are told by each new agent something different. Talked to higher level agents and still no resolution. Spent hours talking to support and sending in new forms. Nothing worked, each agent tells us to send in new paper work that we have already sent in. Agents have logged in to fix qbooks bank info and they cannot figure out. Agent tells us they have to change bank info, another agent says you have to change it on qbooks desktop, then another agent says to go to camps to change. We can see new bank account in camps but somehow it is not connected to payroll. Agents tell us its fixed then we send payroll then it does not work and we have to pay penalties to qbooks for drafts not going thru. Very very frustrating that we pay almost 5k a year for software that has very support backup. At this point we are considering a different service.
Are you using QB Desktop + Enhanced Payroll?
Spent hours talking to support and sending in new forms.
What forms do you mean? Can you access CAMPS as the Primary Contact?
I am beyond annoyed with the constant changes. Today I log in and see that they removed the link to move between companies. I now have to log completely out and log back in, choosing a different company. Very time consuming because I am moving quickly between companies all throughout the day. Who decided it was a good decision to eliminate this function? Another FAIL!
This isn't the experience we want you to have when switching between companies, @Lu2015. Let me provide info about this.
If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), please be aware that we're currently investigating issues related to customers being unable to switch companies. Thus, I recommend contacting our Support Team so they can add you to the list of affected users and receive updates via email whenever available.
Here's how to contact them within QBO:
For more info about our Support Team and their supporting hours, please refer to this article: Contact Support.
On the other hand, if you're referring to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) companies, you can utilize this article to perform some troubleshooting steps when you can't access your company file: Can't open your company file in QBDT.
Moreover, you can use this reference to learn how to generate financial reports so you can see different aspects of your business: Run reports in QBO.
I'll be here if you require further assistance with switching between companies. Take care.
Thanks for the fresh dose of smoke CarlSJ... Haven't had any smoke blown up where the sun don't shine today. Don't worry Lu2015, QBO will make your wildest dreams come true. They'll get right on it just like all the other customer concerns that have been voiced. On the plus side... I should get an email soon about how I have moved up in my ranking in the QB support forum. That ray of sunshine always makes the pain of trying to use QBO worth it...
@VintageAF Oh yes, just think of all the badges you have yet to collect.
