Join nowWe had some miscommunication at work that resulted in me going in and entering hours then finding out that payroll had already been done. I didn't actually create paychecks or anything beyond entering the hours. Now I have two direct deposit entries for each employee in my register and the paycheck count in the payroll center is twice as many as it should be. How do I make this go away?
Thank you in advance!!
Hello there, gentry0013.
You can pull up the Paycheck Detail report or bank register and open each paycheck to delete them manually. Just ensure that you're deleting the correct paycheck. On the other hand, you can void or delete the direct deposit paychecks two banking days before the check date before 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
For more details, you can check out this page: Delete or void employee paychecks.

So when I do payroll I manually enter the payroll in the system and it gives a payroll detail, which is show as payroll being created and creating the payroll expense. Then when the live checks goes through the bank and is merged into the system, they create another payroll expense, so the same checks are duplicated again and creates another payroll expenses so now I am like wow I have 2 payroll expense of the same check and I do not know which of the duplicate to delete. Should I delete the payroll details or the checks???? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Paulette
