Enhanced Payroll SHOCKING price increase

My renewal for the 2025 year was just submitted and rejected by my bank because it exceeded the limit allowed.  I was rather shocked, because the renewal last year went through just fine.  Then I found the culprit.  The price of Enhanced Payroll for Accountants has increased to $2800 before the discount for those who purchase PAP Premier Bundle, we get a 50% discount, so $1400.  That is STILLLLLLLLL a 100% price increase in ONE YEAR! I am a small business.  I have small business clients, too, who will also face a hardship at this outrageous increase.  I have no choice now but to find an alternative software for both myself and my clients before next October when renewal comes up.  I realize prices have to increase from time to time, but to DOUBLE in one year?   I suggest those also outraged do the same.  I CANNOT increase my fees for my payroll clients by 100% or I would lose them all!

I strongly urge anyone else as outraged as I to also file a complaint with the FTC.  ftc.gov/complaint

Also, contact your state's Attorney General as well!

This is happening to a lot of people, your renewal is the list price.  QuickBooks has been trying to phase out Desktop version but they seem to be doing it the wrong way, jacking up the prices and messing with people is wrong.  Either keep it or don't.

@SirMatthew

You can explore to replace Enhanced Payroll with a 3rd party payroll app or switch to QB Desktop Enterprise Gold.

Yes, they are most assuredly going about it the wrong way.  My clients do NOT want to use QB Online, either.  I don't know WHAT I'm going to do but I WILL be finding different software before October of 2025!
