Federal Electronic Services Deactivated

Hello,

I just received an email from The QuickBooks Payroll Team stating:

"Dear Employer,

Your Federal E-Services have been deactivated for your account due to no tax payments being submitted within the last 18 months.  You will need to complete the E-Services Enrollment interview and sign new Authorization forms to turn Federal E-Services back on. If you have any questions, please contact our customer support team via the 'Contact Us' link inside the "Help" tab on the top right of your Payroll account" (We all know that the ""Contact Us" link does not work!!)

I don't use the Federal E-Services to make my payments but I do use them to send my state and and federal quarterly forms electronically.  Will I still be able to use this aspect of E-Services if it has been deactivated?

Thank you!!

Hello Nick,

I don't understand why it was deactivated due to disuse, when I actively use the E-Services quarterly to send in my forms.

Thanks for getting back to us, CM-EIC.

It's deactivated since there are no tax payments submitted for the last 18 months. You'll want to re-enroll the service to continue using it. For the detailed steps, check out our enroll in E-File & Pay for your reference.

You may also want to contact our Payroll Support Team. That way, they can further explain in detail and guide you through the process. Please refer to the steps above provided by my colleague on how to contact them.

I'm just a post away if you have any other additional concerns.

I tried faxing the 8655 Form for "Reporting Agent Authorization" and my fax machine gave me a message stating that the fax number was disabled or not accepting faxes.  The number provided was (650) 745-0651.  I tried calling the contact person noted on the reporting from, Jason Shipp, and was informed that because I'm not a federal or state personnel that I couldn't leave a message.  Please provide me with a valid fax number. Thank you

My electronic services for federal payroll taxes was deactivated without any notice (no email or call), but I had run payroll within an 18 month period.  Because of covid, we suspended our payroll service for 6 months, and upon activation, intuit removed only the federal electronic service, which I did not know they did this, so now my payroll taxes are overdue incurring tremendous amounts of penalty and interest.  Ironically intuit did not remove the state electronic service or direct deposit - I want to know WHY INTUIT REMOVED MY ELECTRONIC TRANSFER FOR FEDERAL PAYROLL TAXES.   WE HAVE INCURRED TREMENDOUs PENALTIES AND I WILL PURSUE INTUIT ACCEPTING FULL RESPONSIBLITY FOR THIS.  I was told by their customer service that this is their policy anytime an account has been suspended - I frankly don't believe this and will pursue this further.

Hi there, @GSS3.

This isn't the impression I want you to have about QuickBooks products and services. As much as I would love to take care of this problem immediately since this concern requires disclosure of personal account information, we'll have to escalate this to our Customer Care Team. Since the reason for canceling your payroll is due to covid, our support team may be able to find solutions. You can also provide the case number so they can review your concern and continue performing the troubleshooting steps if applicable.

To reach them, check out this link for ways on how to connect with us: Contact the QuickBooks Online Customer Support team.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help. Have a great day.
