In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the ability to pay owner distributions electronically is currently unavailable. You need to write a check manually. Before doing so, ensure that you've already created an Equity account.
Here's how:
Once done, here's how to write a check:
For more information about the process, refer to this article: Set up and pay an owner's draw.
On the other hand, you can also look for a third-party application that will allow you to pay owner distributions electronically. This can be done by going to the Apps menu in QBO to clicking this link.

A check in QB is just data entry, so write the check and if you will transfer the amount electronically, then overwrite the check number and make it EFT (elect funds transfer).

Is there away to use the contractors portal to pay my distributions so we can get our distributions as a direct deposit? I am assuming we could code them as distributions once we receive and remove from the vendor we setup in the contractors portal.
Good morning, @dmiller4.
Thanks for chiming in on this thread and asking your question. I want to ensure that I give you the best information to answer your concern about paying owner distributions in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
At this time, the only way you can do this is by running an unscheduled payroll and adding the distribution account as a payroll addition with no tax consequence on the check. However, before doing this, I recommend consulting with your accountant to be sure. They'll be able to give you the best accounting advice for your business.
Let me know if this helps and what you're accountant says. If you need help with anything else, feel free to ask. I'm only a post away if you need me. Wishing you and your business continued success!
