How do i import Intuit Payroll data into QB online?

Let's perform some steps so you can import Intuit Online Payroll (IOP) data into QuickBooks Online (QBO), @chefdaves-cateri

First, let's make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date browser before performing the exporting process below. Then, set up your QBO accounts for payroll data and run the Account List report from the Reports menu. This lets you check the list of your accounts in the program and enter any necessary accounts.

Second, you'll have to set up class tracking and add it to your Payroll Settings in QBO.

Third, set up the connection between IOP and QBO. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to the Setup tab.
  2. Select Preferences under Export
  3. In the Your Accounting Software drop-down list, choose QuickBooks Online
  4. We will search for any existing QBO accounts under the current user ID.
  5. If we don't find one, you'll be asked to log in to your Intuit Account.
  6. Since QBO accounts don't require security questions, the system may prompt the customer to choose a security question and answer.
  7. Choose the correct QBO account.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection process.

Fourth, you'll have to set up accounts in your IOP company by going to the Export Preferences page. Just use the exact same names of the QBO accounts you'll use for the payroll data. Fifth, you'll have to create paychecks or tax payments. Then, select Export from the Pay Day tab. To learn more about this process, follow the fourth to fifth steps through this article: Set Up Export of IOP Data To QBO

To help you get started in QBO, I'd suggest visiting this website: QuickBooks Basics. This link provides you with articles on how to effectively manage your income, expenses, banking, inventory, payroll, taxes, and QBO account. Just click + More topics at the bottom of the page to expand the sections.
