How do I update my workers comp rates for 2021?

You've got me here to help you update your worker's comp rates, beth_mathison.

We can update it in your Payroll Settings via the Tax Setup. Let me walk you through on how to do it:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Payroll settings.
  2. Choose the Tax Setup tab.
  3. Select the state for Workers Compensation Tax Setup.
  4. Click on the Add Class and Subclass link.
  5. In the Risk Classification Class and Sub-classes then, enter the rate in the fields.
  6. Click on OK once done.

If you're unable to update it, I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Support team. They have the tools to update the rate and will sort things out for you.

How do I update my workers comp rates for 2021?

Hello there, Jonettelee.

You can try updating your Worker's Comp rates so the system will know when to start using the new rates. If you've tried updating it, you can log out and log back in to see if the changes were successfully saved. If not, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Support Team so we can identify the cause of the issue.

How do I update my workers comp rates for 2021?

Thank you. I tried all the solutions presented and read through many help articles. The simple fact is the current version of Quickbooks Online doesn't allow this update manually. I had to Email my form to The Tax Notice Resolution Team and now I have to pay an additional $50 for the update. Seems like this service should be included in the Premium Payroll plan I already pay for every month since I can't enter the updates myself.

I am SICK TO DEATH of Intuit hiding things from us and making us spend hours of UNPAID time on the phone with your support people to do things we used to be able to do SIMPLY in your desktop version!!!
