How to export timesheets in Excel from Quickbooks Desktop

You'll have to pull up the Timesheet report from the Reports Center page in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @Lookout1. This way, you can export the said report in Excel and keep a copy of your employees' time spent at work.

You can easily export reports to Excel from QBDT. This is to let you analyze your payroll data and save reports for your reference. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Report Center.
  3. In the search field, type in Timesheet.
  4. Find the Timesheet Report, then click Run.
  5. Click the Excel button, then select either Create New Worksheet or Update Existing Worksheet.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

I've attached screenshots below that show the first five steps.

Additionally, you can also select either the Summarize Payroll Data in Excel or More Payroll Reports in Excel option to export other payroll data in QBDT. Just go to the Reports menu, then select Employees & Payroll.

I'm also adding this article for the list of payroll reports that can be exported to Excel in QBDT: Excel based payroll reports. It also provides a step-by-step guide on how to generate them in the system.

Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help. Take care always.
