Changing your pay period is quick and easy, chrijohn-phc.
If you're using QuickBooks Online Payroll Enhanced, you can change the pay period under the Payroll and Services section on the Payroll Settings. Please log in as a Master Admin before performing the steps below.
- Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and select Payroll Settings.
- From the Setup Overview, click Pay Schedules.
- Look for the pay period you want to change and click on Edit or you can create a new pay schedule.
- Hit OK.
If you're using the Premium Payroll, you'll have to go directly to the Employees menu so you'll be able to change them. The following article will provide you the detailed steps and instructions: Set up and manage payroll schedules.
However, if you're not the Master Admin, you may want to ask the owner (maser admin) of the account to check your user access rights in QuickBooks Online.
Once done, you can now create paychecks for your employees using their updated pay periods. This way, you'll be able to report their payroll and tax info to the appropriate agencies timely.
