How to set up Bank Account for Payroll after Quickbook is unable to connect/link the account?

The bank account works fine dowloading transactions but does not let me set up for payroll to use the direct deposit feature. I got a message saying it may be due to the type of services we offer or credit history (both wrong) - Contacted Quickbooks and they said that I may have entered the info incorrectly and that the system would reset so I can re-enter the info. Is been 3 days and I still see the same message and I cannot add the account again.

I appreciate you for reaching out to our phone support agent and performing some troubleshooting steps to connect your bank account. May I know what's your bank provider? This way I can check here on our way if there's a reported issue about this one.

 

Aside from using the bank's name, let's try entering the bank's URL. From your bank's website, copy the URL and paste it in the search field when connecting your bank account.

If it works, you can set up your employees for direct deposit and run payroll.

 

If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting our Payroll Support Team again (with your case or reference number). I know you already called but since this is a public forum, they can pull up and check your account in a secure environment. They'll also investigate what's causing this issue.

 

Here's how to reach them:

 

  1. Click the Help icon on the top right. 
  2. Tap the Contact Us button at the bottom. 
  3. Enter a short description of your concern. 
  4. Tick Continue
  5. Choose Message an agent to connect with our support.
