Hello there, J-Rock,
You can view accrued vacation and sick hour by following these steps:
Don’t hesitate to comment below if you got additional concerns, I’m always here to help you.
There is no such "Employee" tab to select.
When i first log in, the web address is:
https://paychecks.intuit.com/employee.html
This page is what I am use to seeing.
Then in a second it redirects me to some new design layout page with address:
https://workforce.intuit.com/app/payroll-employee-portal-ui/portal/paychecks
This page has absolutely no "Employee" tab.
Why is the new layout page so different and why it is redirecting me?
It seems with the new layout a big step backwards was achieved.
Hello there, @J-Rock.
I can share additional information so you'll be able to view your accrued vacation and sick hour balance.
Here's how:
For additional information about the new look of ViewMyPaycheck, you may check out this article: ViewMyPaycheck FAQs.
Keep in touch with us here in the Community if you have other questions about viewing your accrued vacation credits. I'm always here to help.
Thanks for the help guys but you are not understanding my issue, before the web page update it looked exactly like juVielL displayed and I could easily get my vacation and sick hours just as juVielL describes. But my page looks nothing like what juVielL displayed.
Thanks for confirming that you're using the QuickBooks Workforce, J-Rock.
You can view the accrued vacation and sick hour available on the upper-right part of the screen. Here's a screenshot for your visual reference:
If you still have a different interface aside from the image above, just let me know. I'd also appreciate if you can attach a screenshot of your screen.
Once I have the details, I'll be glad to look into it for you.
The updated page is not providing me with the information i am looking for, while the older useful page did. Attached is a screen shot of the updated page, as you can see it does not show me the available vacation and sick hours. Can we get this page reverted back until quickbook's workforce figures out how to display the page correctly. When i log in, i can see the old page for a brief second before i get redirected to the updated useless page.
Hello there, J-Rock.
You can log out from your QuickBooks workforce account and log back in to check if your available vacation and sick hours are showing. If not, I'd suggest contacting your employer and verify if they've set up an available vacation and sick hour on your account. If they do, I'd encourage contacting our Customer Care team. They can further investigate as to why this important information isn't showing on your end.
Here's how to contact them:
Feel free to post in the Community if you have other concerns.
My employees can no longer view their time from the application on their phones --- please advise.
I want to officially welcome you to the Community, nhstac.
Let me chime into this conversation so that the employees can view their sick and vacation hours.
At this time, the sick and vacation hours won't show on the Paycheck Detail screen of QuickBooks Workforce. The employees should download the paychecks to view the PTO balance.
I'm happy to show you how:
The above steps should let the employees see their available vacation hours.
I'm including an article for future reference: Set up online pay stub access for employees.
That information should get you on the right track. Let me know the results after trying the steps above. I'm always here to provide any additional assistance if you need anything else. Have a good one.
I have no idea why you all would make this a million times harder than what it needs to be. Why should I have to download a previous pay period so that I can see my time? Maybe I don't want to download my pay stub to my work computer or a friend's computers, etc. NOT user friendly.
Hello bdwyko,
I'm here to share some insights about the Workforce features,
We are doing as much as we can to make sure Workforce fits your needs. You help us decide which features to build, and what developments should be made to our platform.
I've taken note of your experience and I'll pass this along here in my end. Our engineers make improvements in QuickBooks Online by listening to our customers' suggestions and comments.
Thanks a lot for raising this concern. I'm happy to help some more if you have other questions about QuickBooks. Have a good one. I'm cheering you to continued prosperity.
Quick books online should have a template of what the system used to do, as in the existing system that worked fine for years. That template should be what is used to create the foundation of the new system you are trying to build (although i am not sure why you are re-inventing a page that provided all the information needed, my employer would not be happy wasting man hours reworking a non-issue area to create issues). You can change the layout, coloring, add fancy graphics, etc... BUT you should have provided the users with the same information in a similar matter to the previous system. As an engineer myself I find this completely inexcusable, the result of poor decision making.
I agree 100% with bdwyko comments, the idea that you MUST download a pdf to simply see you vacation and/or sick hours is not a good idea.
Problems:
1) The vacation/sick time you are viewing is not up to date, it will be up to two weeks old.
2) The downloading file not only has the information you are looking for, it also has other information you may wish to keep private.
3) Many mobile devices bury downloaded files within the phones root directory that can be difficult for the average phone user to find and delete.
4) Not everyone has a personal computer at work or home to download, view it, and then delete the downloaded file.
5) Your teams lack of "insights" surprises me.
I appreciate getting back to us, @J-Rock.
This isn't the kind of service we want you to experience. We know how much time it can take when something isn’t showing the way you need it to, which is why we make great efforts to deliver customer satisfaction at all time.
I want to let you know that we're taking note of your feedback and suggestions to improve the experience we're providing.
I also recommend sending feedback to our engineers about the Workforce features so they can review and consider adding it to future updates. Your suggestions can also be beneficial to other QuickBooks users.
To send feedback, here's how:
You can always get back into this post if you have more questions. I'll keep an eye out on your response.
