Right now QBO Intuit does not allow me to do any tax filing until I add NY Tax withholding info.
I am not required to file any NY Taxes.
It seems that perhaps at one point I entered a NY address for a "work location" and now QBO thinks I need to file NY taxes.
How can I remove that location without having to CALL UP QBO?

We can remove the work locations by inactivating them in the Payroll Settings. Before doing so, ensure you have no active employee currently assigned to that work location. Then, please follow the steps below:

It seems that your instructions is geared to a different or older version of QB.
My menu options does not have those steps at all.

Since we're still experiencing trouble making your employee's unused work location inactive. I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll Team to assist you in removing the unused work location and get rid of the NY state tax setup.

Where is the employee's work location are they working from NY? if yes you have to pay some NYS taxes and have a separate workers comp policy for NYS
