I made some products and services inactive but now have an issue with my purchasing software not linking. How do I bring them back and make them active again.

Hello, Karen. 

 

Let's make your items active again, so you can use your purchasing software with QuickBooks. 

 

Reactivating your items is very easy. You'll want to go to your products and services list and do it from there. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Products and services
  2. Click the funnel icon (see screenshot below on where to find it). 
  3. Select either All (shows both inactive and active items) or Inactive (shows only the inactive items) under Status.
  4. Hit Apply.

All inactive items have (deleted) tags beside their names. You'll just want to click Make active under the Action column to reactivate them. When you're done, link your purchasing software again.

Is there not a way to batch all the products on the page that are inactive and make them active, rather than clicking through each item? We have over 4K products and making them all active will take 2 weeks to click through each one.

Thank you for chiming! I went ahead and tested this, and there isn't a way to do this as yet. Discovering this, I can see how important having a feature would be. I went ahead and submitted feedback to our Product Developers on adding new updates in the future. I also encourage you to submit feedback and keep updated with our blog about any changes.
