You can use the actual expenses method to deduct the cost of operating your business vehicle. Then, you can manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed and select the category.

 

Here's how to add a new transaction:

  1. Go to the Transaction menu.
  2. Choose Add Transaction.
  3. Enter the amount and the descriptions.
  4. Select a category menu and choose the option to organize your transactions.
  5. Hit Save.
