I have no problem getting to the verification page and it says sending verification code to my email and I paste in the code and then I get a spinning cog inside a web browser that never finishes.
I’ve tried three different web browsers. I’ve let it run overnight l, never finishes.
All my data prior to this month seems to be gone this is decades of data.
Hi TerriZamore
Just to clarify (and sorry if you've answered this before), when you get the "spinning cog of death" did you originate from within BofA or an Intuit sign in page such as https://www.intuit.com/sign-in , or was it some other starting page. I do believe you need to start on an Intuit sign in/log in page and not a Quickbooks login page.
Hello @TerriZamore,
Thank you for letting us know about what you've done on your end to resolve the issue. Allow me to chime in and help you get the support you need to get back on track.
I've reviewed the thread and found that you've already performed the necessary browser troubleshooting. Since the issue persists, you'll need to continue working with our Payroll Support Team.
I want to be the one assisting you, but the issue involves your prior payroll information. We have a dedicated team for reviewing data, which is unavailable in this public space.
Our Customer Support Team for QuickBooks Online Payroll - Core, Premium is available from 6 AM - 6 PM PT (Monday - Friday). For QuickBooks Full Service Payroll, QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite/Premium, any time, any day.
Here's how:
Additionally, you can visit this link to learn more about how you can migrate your data from IOP to QBO, as well as some screenshots for your visual guide: Setup export of IOP data to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Drop me a comment below if you need more assistance with your missing data or accessing your account. I'll be around to lend a hand.
I’m wasted two days already with text chat without it being resolved. The lady seemed completely clueless but was concerned I would give her a bad review.
They were not helpful other than being able to give me some figures from my 1st quarter of what I was paid so far. from my old admin.
The final answer was to call Bank Of America which obviously is not helpful at all. But I did try and Bank Of America says I need to contact intuit.
So I’ve gone from a free service that worked perfectly to a paid service that has been a complete fail as they seem to have lost all my data.
At this point I think it is getting to lawsuit time.
This is what happens when I try to migrate to the new admin. I get a spinning cog that never goes away I left it run overnight same results just never finishes.
I can see this migration was not what you expected, TerriZamore.
I got help to be able to access your account and found out that you've spoken to someone from our Support about this escalation already. They are the best person to talk to and will have the most resources for you.
If there's anything else that I can help you with, please don't hesitate to go back to this thread. Take care and have a good weekend!
No, I expected this to be seamless like it was promised instead Intuit has lost all my data.
I have been bounced around to too many departments. I’ve spent hours on the phone. I spent almost 2 days in the annoying text chat support. Who else am I supposed to contact?
I’m now going on day nine of not having access to my payroll prior to this month.
Hi TerriZamore,
As I mentioned previously you will NOT be able to get to Quickbooks Online Payroll via BofA (in spite of what their site messaging says. I see from the URL BofA.onlinepayroll.intuit.com...... that you are trying to get there from BofA.
You must get to your new payroll account via Intuit (the parent company of Quickbooks).
You will need to use the login page:
https://accounts.intuit.com/ or similar.
BELOW THIS THIS LINE I am just reposting the step by step instructions that I posted before:
1. Go to https://accounts.intuit.com/
2. Click Login/Sign in at the top right
3. You should get to a page that at the top looks something like my 1st image.
4. Click "Use a Different User ID" (image attached)
5. You should see another Sing In Page (image attached). Here, you should enter the info associated with your BofA account. i.e. preferably your email, but could be phone. Let's assume for now that you enter your email associated with your BofA account.
6. Click the blue "Sign In bar" (image attached).
7. You should now be on a page that has a box to enter your verification code (image attached)
8. In the meantime, Intuit should have sent a verification code to your email.
9. Enter the code in the box and click the blue "Continue" bar.
10. This should take you to a page that says "We Found Your Accounts" (image attached).
11. Below "We Found Your Accounts" should be radio buttons that correspond to different accounts and/or user names that you have had with various Intuit products (including QuickBooks, but it could be other Intuit products as well).
12. IMPORTANT: one of the radio buttons should have a name that would have been automatically assigned during the transition. The name will look silly, something like ttyf_76-jjw89hkw65_9-yye etc.
13. Click that radio button (the one next to the silly looking user name.
14. At this point, you may get one more verification step. NOTE: it may ask to verify your phone number. You can skip that step. It is not an authentication. They just want to update your info. So, you can click on "Skip for now" (image attached).
15. After clicking skip for now, you should be lead to your new Quickbooks Payroll account, However, there may be one more verification step, OR you may even need to click Forgot Password, or Reset Password. I am uncertain what exactly you will see at this point. For me, if memory serves, it took me to my new payroll account.
PLEASE: reply to this post to let me know which steps work and which ones do not. For example "Steps 1-5 worked as described, but on step 6 I saw_____ instead of _____. I will do my best to troubleshoot with you.
That seems to have brought all my data in from BofA. I was even able to generate a couple of PDFs that I needed like my 941.
But now I have a new problem. I have multiple Intuit admins.
The first ID is the one that the migration created, brought in all my BofA data and it looks like it's billing me for this one as well.
The second ID will bring me to the admin that was set up with help from Intuit and is current for this month including this month's payroll and taxes.
Please tell me there is a way to merge these two. Can I import its data into my current payroll?
I have the same scenario, and have not learned a way to merge. Of course that would have been the elegant solution rather than creating a standalone account just for payroll. Please post if you end up finding a way to move the payroll data to the bookkeeping account.
Hello, TerriZamore.
We have removed the screenshot that contains your email address and some account information for security reasons. I'd also like to share some additional details about managing your accounts and payroll data.
The option to merge two accounts and import payroll data is currently unavailable. Instead, you can download or export your payroll data from the other account. Then, you can cancel it to prevent future charges.
Alternatively, you may consider looking for a third-party application to import your payroll data into your current payroll account. Please visit this link to find one: QuickBooks apps.
In addition, you can review this article to learn how to enter payroll data using journal entries in QuickBooks Online: Manually enter payroll paychecks in QuickBooks Online.
Stay in touch with us if you need further assistance managing your accounts and data. We're always here to help.
I did have it export all my data. I got an email that reads it may take up to 15 days.
I was expecting it to be in a format that I could import into my admin, but it seems I will not be able to do that after reading your reply. So I have no idea what format that will be in.
This has been a mismanaged unthought-out big mess.
I appreciate you for getting back to us, TerriZamore.
I reiterate of what provided workaround by my colleagues above. Regarding the email you received, I suggest getting in touch with our payroll Support team for assistance. See this article for the steps: Contact Payroll Support.
I'm also attaching this link if you need help with other tasks in QBO. Just look for responses that fit your concern.
We're here to lend a hand. Please let us know if there's something else that we can do for you.
It looks like as long as I do not agree to the new billing I will not get charged or lose access to the migrated admin and will still be able to access its data indefinitely.
So I guess I use the new admin that's been set up to run payroll that had its data for March added manually and then just look in the migrated admin anytime I need some old information. Seems it only has my information going back to January 2021 but that's all I need anyway.
It looks like the best thing I can do is manually add January and February into my current payroll admin by copying January and February from the migrated admin. This way my end-of-the-year report will be correct.
I have no idea how to do that and I'm afraid of messing up everything.
Another reason why I dislike online software as unlike software that runs on my laptop I can't just grab a backup if I mess up something.
I appreciate you for sharing some details of your concern, @TerriZamore.
I'd be delighted to guide you on how manually add your January and February payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
What we're going to do is set up a prior payroll in your QBO account. Here's how.
You can also see this article for the complete process: Set up a prior payroll for QuickBooks Online Payroll.
Furthermore, I recommend working with your accountant to ensure everything is set up accurately.
Once you're all set, you might want to check out this resource for reference on how to run your payroll in QBO: Process or run payroll.
I'm all ears if you need more help managing your payroll in QBO. Please feel free to tag me in your response and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Take care!
I already added in all my business information.
I only have one employee, me. I already took an April paycheck using the new admin that was manually set up.
At this point, I'm stuck because it wants me to add employees. I just need to add the paychecks I was paid for the 1st quarter of this year.
Someone from Intuit added in my gross and taxes from the first quarter of this year.
so I could file my 941.
Also missing from my new payroll admin is the monthly payroll taxes I paid for January and February and March.
I'm sorry I never had to think about this before I just simply clicked buttons in the BofA payroll admin and it did for me.
Trying to figure this out as I do not need to add an employee.
Is this where I would add the prior payroll taxes I paid for the first quarter?
When I click Create Prior Tax Payment I get this screen where I think can copy and paste from the migrated admin. I'm just afraid of messing something up with no way to undo it.
You're on the right track in recording your prior tax payment, @TerriZamore.
Just make sure to enter the correct dates and amount of the tax payments. You can refer to this guide for details.
In case you need further assistance adjusting your payroll entry, please contact our Payroll Support. They have the resources that can view and adjust payroll entry in your behalf. Scroll up to @AlcaeusF's post above for the steps on how to reach out.

New issue and I've tried multiple browsers.
It let me add in everything for March but no matter how many times I try after adding in another month it never shows as added in. I'm also getting program errors that tells me to log out and back in so I do but that doesn't help.
Thank you for getting back to us, @TerriZamore.
Since you've already tried using other browsers to record your prior tax payment and still have an error, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support team. They can isolate the issue you're having and help you in resolving it.
You can reach our Customer Support for QuickBooks Online (QBO) by going to the Help icon at the top right of the account. Follow the steps below:

I'm always here if you need more help with your payroll or other transactions. Keep safe and have a great rest of the day!
I just sent off an email to support with a pdf of my 1st quarter of 2022. .
I was able to add in January and March but when I try to add on February it generates an error that goes by too quick for me to read what it actually says. Tried it many times.
This has been the most frustrating waste of 11 days so far this year. :(
Thought I should update this thread with the final results.
I was given a new URL to import all my data and that worked.
Then I manually moved over the two weeks of data from the other admin that got created. The imported admin has now become my permanent admin.
A big shout out to Bridget from intuit who helped me for hours to get this mess straightened.
One of the main reasons I was with Bank Of America was for their free payroll service which they’re no longer offering. I have no love for Bank Of America so I am going to be looking around to see what my other banking options are.
I appreciate your update, and I'm glad to hear everything worked out well, @TerriZamore.
If there's anything else you need or any other questions about managing your QuickBooks data, please feel free to post here anytime.
Thanks for being the best part of QuickBooks! Take care, and I wish you continued success, @TerriZamore.
