I use Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019. I'm the only user; we only have 4 employees that are all family. We sell insurance so we don't use many of the features of QB. We don't need Accounts Receivable nor Accounts Payable or anything. I only use QB about 2 days a month for just recording transactions (24 days a year). In other words, a subscription is completely unnecessary; we wouldn't use most of what we'd be paying for.
I am wondering if the entire payroll section of QB Desktop Pro 2019 is leaving or will I still be able to manually input payroll details? I calculate the taxes and manually record them. We don't need quickbooks to import, export, create checks, calculate taxes or any of that.... but I do need it to record each specific tax amount (Fed, SS, Medicare, State, etc.) as well as payroll detail (like sick pay, commissions, vacation, etc). Again, all these figures are already calculated. I only need to record them in the appropriate accounts. Will I still be able to do this after May 31, 2022?

Good day, @SBrines34.
I'd be glad to provide you with some ideas for discontinued features in the QuickBooks Desktop.
All internet-connected services in QuickBooks Desktop have been removed, including the tax update table, Quickbooks release update, banking, etc.
Moreover, you can still use the manual payroll since this feature isn't included in the product discontinuation. Remember that you'll have to compute and enter payroll taxes and file your tax forms.
Feel free to visit this article for your guide: Set up manual payroll without a subscription in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you have any other concerns about your payroll account, please let me know. If you have any queries about how to record your entries, please start a new topic. Always willing to assist.

Another option, purchase the one time license for QBD 2021 Pro to upgrade your version.
How can I purchase a one-time upgrade? I'm only seeing options to pay a monthly subscription, when we really do everything manually.
Thank you!

Contact us in private and we can help to provide one.
Be aware that the link provided does not let you know that you must remove your payroll service key if you previously had a subscription. Otherwise the manual payroll feature under preferences may be "greyed out". This is the link to do that successfully.
