Is there a way to set up a payroll type payment on "per diem" ( ie. $ 200 per day)?

Per diem the Latin term for "per day" can also refer to a structural compensation system in which an employee is paid per day, as opposed to per hour or per month.

Let's make a payroll item for the per diem and then add the amount to the paycheck.

Here's how to do it:

1. Select Employees from the Payroll tab.
2. Select the name of the employee, then click Edit.
3. On the section number (5. How Much Do You Pay Your Employee), select Pay Type.
4. Choose + Add additional pay types (like overtime and sick pay) .
5. Click Additional pay types.
6. From there, select the correct pay type for the per diem. You can choose Nontaxable Per Diem.
7. Click on Save, then Done.

When I do the steps listed above, I go to run payroll and it only applies one day worth of per diem. How do I get it to do it daily??

For the time being, the option to run a daily payroll for the per diem item is unavailable in QBOP. I can see how this feature would aid you in managing your employee transactions with QBOP. With this, I would encourage you to send suggestions or product recommendations. We'll take them as opportunities to improve the various features of our products.

Your valuable feedback will be forwarded and reviewed by our Product Development team and will help improve your experience while using the program. Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Feedback.
3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field. 
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
