"Mileage" doesn't appear in my ONLINE menu. How do I activate it. I've set up my tracker on my phone already

Welcome to the Community, @jamesa-posting-p.

I'm here to share some information on how mileage works in QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a browser.

I appreciate your letting me know you've set up mileage using your phone to track it automatically. However, if you log in to your QBO account in a browser you'll need to add the mileage manually. I'll show you how.

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to Expenses then hit Mileage (Take me there).
  3. Click the dropdown ▼ next to Add trip.
  4. Select Manage vehicles, then select Add vehicle.
Note: If you need to update an existing vehicle’s info, select the vehicle you want to edit instead. Make the changes, then select Save.
  5. Enter your vehicle’s info.
  6. In the Tax info section, select how you want to record your mileage for the year.
  7. Click Save.

You can check this article for more information about mileage tracking: Set up vehicles and mileage tracking in QuickBooks Online to use with the mobile app.

Additionally, we've compiled some steps you can use for problems tracking work trips on your iOS and Android. Check out these links:

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions about tracking tax deductions or handling vehicle purchases in QuickBooks. We'll be happy to help you some more. Take care.
