Minnesota Sick & Safe Leave

I forgot to clarify that I am referring to QuickBooks Desktop Payroll not QBO Payroll that does not calculate MN ESST correctly.  Please see previous post.

We'll outline the steps below to help you send a feature request to our Product Development to allow the system to calculate the annual maximum mandated as mandated in Minnesota's 2024 Earned Sick and Safe Time Policy.

To send feedback inside QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), these are the steps:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Desktop company.
  2. On the top right corner, click the Help menu.
  3. Select Send Feedback Online and then choose Product Suggestion.
  4. Choose a Product Area and then enter a brief description of your feature recommendation.
  5. Add the necessary details and then when you're ready, click the Send Feedback button.

Moreover, we have different payroll reports that you can use to track wages, taxes, deductions and other details. Feel free to see this article for further guidelines: Run payroll reports.

We highly encourage you to comment below if you need a helping hand managing employee sick leaves or accruals inside the program. Our team will be on the lookout for your response and assist you. Keep safe.

Minnesota Sick & Safe Leave

I have been entering suggestions and feedback to QB since 2016 - and have yet to have any fixes done. NONE. ZERO. ZIP. NADA.

Some of my complaints requests for correction include:

*Columns on the Timesheet (that can neither be adjusted nor removed) causing multiple pages to unnecessarily print

*QB payroll is missing information that is required by MN LAW on the paystubs

*not being any way for QB to correctly calculate the ESST (48hr year 1, 80 yr 2, less any time deducted)

*QB Workforce's GPS is worthless garbage and Intuit ALWAYS blames the tower, the customer, the sun moon and stars - anything except actually admit fault

*QB REFUSES to credit any customer for all the aforementioned BOLOGNA. Intuit's revenue was over 8 BILLION in 2023. Why cant it get it's act together?
