Misdirected Direct Deposit

Who can I contact to help me track down a misdirected Direct Deposit from our 4/10/20 payroll? The employee never got it, and had given us the wrong bank account number. It has not been refunded to us as of today.

Here’s how to reach them:

 

  1. Click the Help menu at the top bar of the company file to see the contact details.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help to open the Have a Question window.
  3. Press the Contact us link to see the Contact Us screen.
  4. Hit the Search for something else link and enter the issue/topic in the field box.
  5. Choose Search to display the Start a Message menu.

The following articles contain detailed instructions on how to resolve direct deposit issues as well as steps to update and view the employee’s bank information.

Misdirected Direct Deposit

I mistakenly entered an incorrect routing number when I was setting up my direct deposit with my employer. The money was sent to a clearing house account "ACH" my checking account number were entered right but I entered a pre select option that showed my bank name but then realized it was paired with another routing number and I need to know if the funds will be returned to my employer if something doesn't add up.

Since Community has limited access to your account and this requires to pull up your data and verify some sensitive information which can't be done in Community for security reason.   2. Select QuickBooks Desktop. 
  3. Enter your concern. 
  4. Choose either Chat or Get a callback.
