I have been using QB Desktop for Mac 2019 and the free "MyTime" app from intuit. I am planning to move to QB online and am looking for a simple time tracking app like My Time. I do not want to pay the monthly fee to use QB TIme (or many of the others), as it has way too many features that I don't need. My Time was perfect, simple, and low cost (free).
I need:
Time clock: clock in clock out
Bill time to a job
2 users
QB integration, both import/export (pulling job and employee info from QB, and pushing time info back to QB).
mobile app if possible.
Thank you for your help.

What kind of business do you run? A field service company or else? How much budget do you have for the time tracker app?
Welcome to the Community space, InsightMC.
I'd like to give some details about the time tracking feature.
In QuickBooks Online, you have the option to integrate your mobile app. To find the app and connect it in your account, you can follow these steps:
You can also contact your app's support to check if it can be connected to your QuickBooks Online account.
If you haven't moved your files yet, you'll want to try it out on our sample company demo. Here's a link for our test drive: Test drive QuickBooks Online.
In addition, let me share these articles to learn more about moving your company files to QuickBooks Online and what will happen after:
I'll be glad to assist you again if you have other questions or need help with other areas in QuickBooks. Take care and stay safe!
I will have some help with the migration, so that is covered.
We are a consulting business and we do field work away from the desk. So a mobile solution for time tracking is useful. We have not had a mobile time tracker in the past. Mytime app from intuit was only desktop based.
My budget is up to 100$ per year for the time tracker. I do not need all the features of most of the cloud based time trackers that are 300-400$/yr.
Intuit does not provide much information regarding MyTime app which was designed to use with the desktop QB version only. Thank you.
Any suggestions on a simple time tracker alternative to Intuit's My Time?
Hi there, InsightMC.
I appreciate you for coming back to the thread to add some clarification. With this, I'll be sharing details with the available feature in QuickBooks. Then, ensure you'll be routed to a place where you can find an app with the same feature of My Time.
For now, we are unable to provide a suggestion for a specific app to use as an alternative or the same as your My time software. However, there's an option to use the Time tab in QuickBooks Online where you can track and manage timesheets by adding and viewing time.
If you don't want to use the said feature, you follow the recommended steps above in discovering a particular app in the Apps menu. From there, you're able to search for certain software and hundreds of apps to integrate to help run with QuickBooks.
Lastly, I'm also adding this article to further guide you in effectively managing your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about advanced accounting, banking, and payments to name a few.
Let me know if there's anything else you need help with. Know that I'm always here to help you anytime. Take care and keep safe!
