Our small business uses QB Desktop Pro with Enhanced Payroll, but we are planning to drop Enhanced Payroll and switch to the Elite Online Payroll. The sales staff with Intuit has told me that we can keep using desktop, run our payroll online (and use TSheets) and easily import the payroll data into desktop. However, I can't find a single tutorial about being able to do this, but I can find plenty of community posts from 2018 and earlier stating that QB Online data does not transfer back into QB Desktop/people having a lot of issues if they do get it to work. Anyone out there use the combo of desktop for normal bookkeeping and online for payroll? What is your experience importing payroll data to desktop? We'd switch to QBO, but we need specific desktop functions that are not yet part of QBO.
